Imax Cinema
The Imax Cinema is situated on one of London's busiest roundabouts in the area of the South Bank. The 500-seat cinema was designed by Avery Associates Architects and commissioned by the British Film Institute. Wilson James was appointed as construction logistics provider for the two year project and were first on site installing hoardings and welfare accommodation for the Principal Contractor. The entrance on Waterloo Road was an undercroft area which stretched for 450m underneath Waterloo Bridge and this allowed access at ground level to the project. Due to the nature of this undercroft (it's width, height etc) only specific vehicles were allowed to enter. Wilson James provided trained, experienced Traffic Marshals to direct and bank the vehicles which had to reverse the entire length.
