Bow Bells in the City
Bow Bells House was a speculative development fronting Bread Street, Cheapside and the churchyard of St Mary-le-Bow, producing a 140,000 sq ft office building with 14,500 sq ft of ground floor retail accommodation. The building includes 6-7,000 sq ft of external terraces with views of St Paul's Cathedral. The project was ready for occupation at the end of 2007. The increase in Grade A space during Q2 2007 is attributable to the inclusion of a number of refurbishment projects and new builds such as Bow Bells House. Structurally the new building is complete, and much of the works left to do are internal. The exception to this are works associated with utilities and paving in the public spaces surrounding the development. Wilson James was employed to provide a full logistics solution to main contractors Mace and the building has now been successfully let.
